On one end we have colourful examples of cultural diversity, and on the other we have a misogynistic view that seeks to paint women of the entire planet in a single colour with face covered – as perpetual slaves to men.

THE ONLY SALVATION TO ALL THIRD WORLD
COUNTRIES IS EDUCATION, ESPECIALLY MOSLEM COUNTRIES NOW MORE THAN EVER. EDUCATION IS THE ANTIDOTE TO BACKWARDNESS & RELIGIOUS SUPERSTITION
Your concluding para is false. There is no evidence that education overturns Koran 4.34 even in your so-called First World countries, where educated Muslim women are choosing to drape themselves in "not this" and fighting for the legal right to do so.
ReplyDeleteYour women are brainwashed from young children on. Your Koran is a book of lies and deceit.
DeleteIslam is a religion of homogeneity and not heterogeneity. Good that women in entire Islamic world from Dardanelles to Indonesia all Muslim women are now having homogeneous dress code. That sounds great.
ReplyDeleteNot great at all. All people should be free to choose. Diversity is courage, homogenity is cowardice and oppression.
DeleteAnd what about the men? Why don't they wear blindfolds, so they don't have to see and get upset about seeing women as they are?
DeleteApparently men who follow Islam are all sexual deviants who can't keep their pants on around women who aren't covered like a piece of garbage.
DeleteSad to say, social norms are veering towards conservatism and obscurantic ideas of woman's physical attraction. Many Muslim women choose to follow the current trend for "Not This"
ReplyDeleteEducation will not reverse the trend towards a desire to be part of the mainstream in order to gain acceptance by the "rest of the herd".
Agree. Even western feminists don't want to see the problem here.

Ignorance is definitely a factor that public education is unable to solve without an input from community leaders. Universities are plenty of an increasingly number of thief-like masked women. Social evolution in Third World countries depends on two factors: influence exercised by community leadership and income level. Leading a community means inspiring rather than accepting, leading rather than following. As to income, it is visible that educated citizens in need of money (including school teachers) tend to seek more rewarding jobs in richer countries (mainly oil producing countries) and to follow those countries' local habit. Once back home, they import those habits.
ReplyDeleteNice stuffs, I liked it!
ReplyDeleteLet's teach the real high standards of Islam to the Muslems!
ReplyDeleteI have a number of Pakistani TRADITIONAL outfits (salwar kameez). They are the ultimate in female comfort in the summertime where I live. Anybody trying to stuff me in one of those black bed sheets will discover that I fervently support the 2nd Amendment. I don't get why anybody would fight to have to wear one. Ever. I should wear a black bed sheet because Muslim men can't control their urges? NOT!
ReplyDeleteThis is the type of information I’ve long been trying to find. Thank you for writing this information.
